The first meeting for the year will be a dynamic presentation on the chronology of the history  of light and the development of lighting from 1909 through 1969.  Our distinguished speaker will be David DiLaura of the University of Colorado in Boulder.  David will cover the long path of incandescent lamp development through the advent of HID and fluorescent lamps.  This presentation will include the history of photometry, lighting standards, equipment, research, education and of course, the Illuminating Engineering Society.  Hope to see everyone there!.
