The
Hobby Center for the Performing Arts is a $100-million
state-of-the-art performing arts complex housing two theatres - the
2,650-seat Sarofim Hall and the 500-seat Zilkha Hall - Artista restaurant
and the Humphreys School of Musical Theatre as well as tenants Theatre
Under The Stars and Broadway in Houston. The soaring roofline and grand
architecture, designed by Robert A.M. Stern, is quickly becoming an
international icon for the important role Houston will play in the 21st
century. The Hobby Family, whose name is synonymous with the generosity
that characterizes Houston, made the lead gift that serves as an
inspiration and banner of commitment to the arts and the people of
Texas.

creates a three-story-high space inside the restaurant. And the enormous
windows frame the downtown skyline. It's a treat just to walk into the
place." by Robb Walsh, Houston Press restaurant critic.
"Located inside the Hobby Center for the
Performing Arts, Artista was recently labeled the most exciting new room -
and arguably the best view - in downtown Houston." by Alison
Cook, Houston Chronicle restaurant critic.
"Michael Cordúa of Churrascos, Américas
and Amazón Grill restaurants, has unveiled his latest masterpiece -
Artista. The picture-perfect Artista, located inside the Hobby Center for
the Performing Arts, offers a unique fine-dining experience. Unlike any
other, Artista is an original!" |
