IES: Illuminating Engineering Society

The IES Houston Section invites you to our January General Luncheon Meeting

LED ILLUMINATION IN ARCHITECTURE

Speaker: Sally Lee
Osram Sylvania

As LED specifications continue to evolve, specifiers and designers need to know...

  • Beyond CRI & CCT (K) ratings, what are the challenges with LED technology & color in architecture?
  • How do you determine the LED efficacy (LPW) and rated life?
  • How do LEDs as an illumination source stack up against other technologies?
  • What are some best-fit LED applications today?
  • Oh yes, and how do you actually SPECIFY this stuff?

Sally Lee is a Commercial Engineer for Osram Sylvania. She develops new business for Sylvania through specific lighting system specifications with professional engineers, designers, contractors, major end users, and utilities. She provides training and technical specification support for all aspects of lighting. Before joining the Commercial Engineering team at Sylvania in 1994, Sally completed the Master of Science program in Lighting from the Lighting Research Center at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and worked as an engineer and market specialist for a major light fixture manufacturer. Sally is Lighting Certified (LC), is an active IES member at the section and society level and enjoys teaches many lighting courses.
