As Director of
Estimating, George Elles manages Correct Electric's estimating
department with a system of checks and balances designed to reduce
variations in the estimating and bidding process to less than 5%.
With over 30 years of experience in the electrical contracting industry,
Mr. Elles is well versed in the critical stages of project estimating,
planning, and design. Throughout his career, George has served in
a variety of managerial positions including chief and conceptual
estimator, project manager and designer.
Prior to joining the
Correct Electric team in 2006, Mr. Elles owned Electrical Construction
Services, a consulting business he started in 2000 which focused on
assisting electrical contractors in excelling in planning,
pre-fabrication and project performance. During this time, Mr. Elles also negotiated nation-wide data center electrical contracts for a
Houston based design/build firm, taking each project from the conceptual
and estimating phases through project completion as the project manager.
Projects ranged from 20,00 to 99,000 square feet and 2 million to 8
million dollars each. Through Mr. Elles' careful management, each
of these projects was completed on-time and within budget.
From 1990 to 1996, George
served as Senior Vice President in charge of estimating and design/build
projects at Pollock Electric in Houston, Texas. George was named
President of Pollock Electric in 1997. In 1998, he moved to
Pollock's parent company, Integrated Electrical Services, to open their
National Accounts Division.
During his tenure with
Pollock Electric, Mr. Elles served on the board of Directors of the
Houston IEC Chapter for five years, of which he served three consecutive
terms as President of the Board from 1995 to 1997. the Houston IEC
Chapter was awarded National Chapter of the Year each of the three years
in which Mr. Elles served as President of the Chapter.
