This exciting presentation covers
critical information for engineers, designers, and service providers
regarding Security Lighting and the associated guidelines and
standards set by the IES and ANSI. Presenters include a Father and
Son team who are the Chair and Sub Committee Chair of the IES
Security Lighting Committee and original co-authors and editors of
the guidelines [G-1-03]. As criminologists, law enforcement
advisors, and security lighting designers, the Salmons bring an
in-depth perspective that you may not have considered.
Additionally, they are very familiar with what goes wrong on a
property when the courts consider “ . . . is lighting or crime an
issue on this property”, and “. . . who may be liable”? They will
share their experiences on how designers can reduce their liability
when it comes to security lighting design.
