OSS - Law Enforcement Advisors & Risk Managers

CRIME PREVENTION THROUGH ENVIRONMENTAL DESIGN

SPEAKER:  DAVID SALMON &
DAVID LEE SALMON II
of OSS - Law Enforcement Advisors

This exciting presentation covers critical information for engineers, designers, and service providers regarding Security Lighting and the associated guidelines and standards set by the IES and ANSI.  Presenters include a Father and Son team who are the Chair and Sub Committee Chair of the IES Security Lighting Committee and original co-authors and editors of the guidelines [G-1-03].  As criminologists, law enforcement advisors, and security lighting designers, the Salmons bring an in-depth perspective that you may not have considered.  Additionally, they are very familiar with what goes wrong on a property when the courts consider  “ . . . is lighting or crime an issue on this property”, and “. . . who may be liable”?  They will share their experiences on how designers can reduce their liability when it comes to security lighting design.
