LIVING
BUILDINGS
Moving Beyond Words to
Actions
|
|
A year has transpired since our
last conversation regarding the value of seriously considering alternatives
to power density as the prevailing national energy metric. During that time,
what movement has occurred and what are the ramifications to the industry of
that movement? This last year has, in fact, seen significant change in the
attitudes and actions among the organizations that develop codes and
standards. This last year has also seen the design and construction of new
buildings that have made significant progress in both energy efficiency and
environmental quality. This presentation is intended to both bring the
audience up to date as well as pointing the way to the next potential step
in combining environmental quality and energy efficiency. |
